Rated 1 out of 5 by Charlinefoskey from Battery tray will not workFirst I must say the first week the safe was amazing! however we started to notice the batteries were not lasting very long. upon taking the battery tray out we noticed the tray wasn't locking into place as it should. Now Im being told by support i havet to order a new tray. also the key was not in the safe upon opening the box. So not only do i have to buy a new tray i also have to pay for new replacement keys. I really think after paying so much for this safe for our school it should have a lifetime replacement warranty. I'm very disappointed to say the least but have no choice but to keep the safe because silly me cant find the receipt.
Rated 2 out of 5 by mcginnislaw from Cheap qualityI assume the safe actually protects what is inside, but the quality of materials is cheap. Cheap plastic handle. Cheap plastic interior. Exterior metal is very thin--easy to drill through. Very difficult to attach to concrete floor. The top right corner was dented when received--I suspect it as a return that was resold. I had a Sentry safe before and liked it--but not this one. I would return it, but it is attached (half way--one side) and the cost would be prohibitive. I guess I'll live with it and complain--and hope no burglary occurs. If it should occur, I'm sure I will lose the safe and contents. .

I’m assuming the manual and keys are locked inside. I’m waiting for some one from sentry to contact me with the factory code so I can open the safe and see if the manual and keys are inside. Sentry is closed on the weekends and I received the safe after work on Friday. I will comment on my review once I get things figured out. I also tried to send an email to sentry and it bounced back so not sure what’s going on there. If my review was based off the safes look it would be 5 stars but without being able to open it, I can’t really give 5 starts at this time.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Household from Instructions & labelingI like the safe, it appears to satisfy our needs, we have since transferred items from our Safety Deposit Box to the safe. However, I do have two comments'1. Instructions on page 6; Dual/Key electronic locks: Include a statement that the key locks/unlocks the combination only. Otherwise one thinks the key also opens the safe which it alone doesn't. I had to call Customer Service for clarification.2) The embossed padlock icons indicating key position for locked and unlocked is so faint that even shining a flashlight parallel with the safe to obtain a shadow is insufficient to determine which way is locked and unlocked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrill W Bell from I was not able to open safe.I am extremely unhappy with this current product. The safe received, instructions for opening safe were clear. However, when inserting batteries, nothing. No lights, nothing. I called customer support, twice, and was on hold for over fifteen minutes without any contact other than message saying to continue to hold for next available representative. Top put in perspective, the Internal Revenue Service phone lines offer better support. So at present I have spent a significant amount of money for a paper weight.

Great customer service as well (thank you Katie H.!). Do yourself a favor and register your safe as soon as you get it (doesn’t take long and makes service and support much easier - we ordered an extra set of keys just in case and it made the process that much simpler through the customer service team...plus, your backup information of combinations, model and serial number, etc. is all in one place!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bill D from Not indestructable, but good protectionAfter looking at various home safes and a lot of YouTube reviews, I feel for the money, this safe gives me a piece of mind that my important papers and items are pretty well protected from fire and water. As far as theft, I realize a it would probably only slow down a professional thief. But with it's already hefty weight and by lagging it to the floor with the kit supplied, it would be a chore for the average thief to just take it. I like the addition of a key, for added security, which can be used to disable the combo function. The bottom line is, if you want a theftproof safe, you'll have to pay out a lot more cash than a few hundred to get it. This is a good safe for the average homeowner and I'm very satisfied I got it. Oh, and It was delivered within a few days by UPS.
